Helen Thelma Liles

Helen T. Liles, 89, of El Dorado, passed away, Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Magnolia Regional Medical Center. She was born July 23, 1928, to Errette Newton and Nettie Pearl Nichols Miller in Stamps, AR.

She was retired from the Medical Center of South Arkansas. Helen was a member of Hillsboro Church of Christ, the VFW Auxiliary, past member of the Pilot Club International, and the Medical Center of South Arkansas Auxiliary.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Samuel R. Liles; step-son, Kent Liles; sister, Nobie Lee; and brother, Wylie Miller.

Survivors include her son, Mickey Arledge and wife Diana; two daughters, Donna Wadsworth, Billie Beth Ezell and husband Kenny; step-daughter, Shelia McCorkle; grandchildren, Robert Frisby, Alexandra Arledge; step-grandchildren, Heath McCorkle, Ivan McCorkle, Amy Quinn; great granddaughter, Fallon Frisby, thee step-great grandchildren; three sisters, Inez Young and husband Travis; Pearl Elmore and husband Ricky, Merle Simmons; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2018, in Young’s Chapel with John Fields officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Memorials may be made to the Southern Christian Home or the charity of donor’s choice.
