John Melvin Frisby

Born August 27, 1923 in Strong, AR he was the son of Monroe and Minnie Phillips Frisby. Mr. Frisby had been a truckdriver for Allen Trucklines before his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II and had attended St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death along with his parents was a son, Joe Frisby, a brother, Albert Frisby, sisters, Ruby Mae Frisby, Mildred Lily Duren and Loraine Bixler.

Survivors include his son, Steve Frisby (Yan) of Visalia, CA and a daughter, Diane Shell (Bill) of Kent, WA. Also surviving are two sisters, Virgie Stewart of Odessa, TX and Margie Bernatz of Tacoma, WA and 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Young’s chapel. Interment will follow in Green Grove Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P. M. Wednesday at Young’s.
