
He was a graduate of El Dorado High School and University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He moved to Houston in 1980 and began his 32 year career in commercial real estate as a broker, presently working at Wilson Wasaff Industrial as Senior Vice President. John was a member of Second Baptist Church since 1985. He was an avid golfer, and he played every weekend with friends and his girlfriend Susie. He loved to travel and in his later years took many cruises all around the world.
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Haas Sealey, her husband Terry Sealey, his step-daughter, Allison Ferguson, her husband Chris Ferguson and their two children, Caroline and Tyler, his three brothers Garry ( Mary Ann), Jay, and George ( Susan), and many other nephews and nieces.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Heights Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Hankamer Chapel of Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway drive in Houston. John will be laid to rest on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Arlington Memorial Park in El Dorado, Arkansas at 12:00 p.m. under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
