

He was preceded in death by his parents Noel and Katie Stewart Cross. Kenneth was born July 18, 1940 in Springhill, Arkansas. Being the son of a methodist minister, he attended many schools in south Arkansas graduating at Parkers Chapel High School where he met the love of his life, Juanita Patterson Cross.
He was a graduate of Henderson University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas where he received a BA in Economics. Having served in the ROTC as an officer at Henderson he was commissioned into the U.S. Army in 1962 and stationed in Ft. Eustis, Virginia.
Upon completion of active service in Virginia, he returned to El Dorado and continued in the Army Reserve.
Kenneth spent his entire career in the field of Human Resources working at Employment Security, Murphy Oil, Warner Brown Hospital, and ConAgra/Professional Food Systems (PFS).
Kenneth leaves a heritage of strong, christian faith to his wife Juanita Patterson Cross; his children, Jelyn Cross Wynn (Richard) of El Dorado and Carlton Cross (Tracy) of Benton, AR. He had four grandchildren who were the light of his life. Taylor and Alex Wynn, and Brady and Shelby Cross. He is also survived by his sisters, Carolyn Cross Upchurch (Edwin) of Camden, AR and Sue Cross Gosnell (Jimmy) of Nashville, AR and a loving host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Kenneth’s love of the Lord, and his strength and inspiration were evident to everyone who knew him especially during the last few years of his life. He has had a wonderful support team of family, friends and Life Touch Hospice.
He was a lifelong methodist and member of Parkers Chapel and St. Paul United Methodist Churches.
Kenneth enjoyed traveling with his wife, fishing, and spending time with family.
Greeting him on his arrival in Heaven were his father, mother, and father-in-law, Odell Patterson.
Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Young’s.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Carlton Cross officiating. Burial will follow at Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church or Life Touch Hospice.
