

Marie V. Langley Wilson, 87 of El Dorado, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at Timberlane Health and Rehab. She was born of December 16, 1923, to Louie Franklin Langley and Mary Lou Murray Langley in Haynesville, LA. Marie loved to quilt and sew and most of all loved her grand and great grandchildren, all thirty-eight of them. She was known as the best cook in South Arkansas and was a member of West Side Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Willis Watkins Wilson; granddaughter, Julie Marie Wilson; and grandson, Andrew Wilson.
Survivors include her three sons, Gary Wilson (Ruby) of El Dorado, Jimmy Wilson (Melinda) of Hampton, AR, Glenn Ray Wilson of Junction City, LA; daughter, Glenda Kay Oliver (Frank) of Junction City, AR; four sisters, Ruth Tibbs of Marysville, AR, Dorothy Loftin, of Three Creeks, Marguerite Boutwell of Junction City, AR, Joyce Ringer of Hot Springs, AR; three brothers, Delton Langley of Three Creeks, Lavelle Langley of Amite, LA, Larry Langley of Keene, TX; ten grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Young’s.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2011, at West Side Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Perry and Rev. J.D. Weido officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
