

Sheila Janette “Memaw” Graves, 72 of El Dorado, AR, passed away August 13, 2015, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado surrounded by her loved ones. She was born May 29, 1943, in El Dorado to Pearl Estelle Taylor and Oscar Hill.
Sheila was a draftsman and telephone operator for Southwestern Bell for many years. When she left Southwestern Bell, she started working for the YWCA. While there, she taught many things, like water aerobics, Jane Fonda and pregnancy classes. She also coached the girls YWCA softball team. While coaching the team, she became a mom to most of the girls. Once she retired from the YWCA, she managed the A & M Video Store, until the day it closed. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
One of her many joys in life, was spending time with her family and loved ones. No matter where she went, she would make a new friend. She had an open and loving heart for anyone that came into her life. She loved to do a lot of reading and she loved to crochet.
Preceding her in death are her parents; and infant sister, Bonnie Janice Hill.
Survivors include her brother, Donald R. Hill (Linda) of Wichita Falls, TX; two sisters, Pamela Graham (Phillip) of Leesville, LA, Becky Graham of El Dorado, AR; three daughters, Tabetha Graves of LaPlace, LA, Theresa Stratton, and Caitlin Graves both of El Dorado, AR; her only grandson, Joseph Stratton and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015, in the Chapel of Young’s Funeral Directors with Bro. Steve Owens officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
