Sherry Linn Williams

Sherry Lynn Williams, 60, joined the Lord, her Mom, Dad and sister, Peggy Ann on July 18th, 2025. She was born in Texarkana, TX to Norris and Irene Williams of the Old Salem community, New Boston, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Peggy Winniford. She is survived by her partner of 40 years, Lynn Caldwell, one sister, Debbie Williams Jones, two brothers, Mike (Sharon) and Tim. She had 8 nieces and nephews, 11 great nieces and nephews, 6 great, great nieces and nephews, 1 God child, X'zaria Ganter and all of Lynn's family. She had so many people that loved her and she was always a ray of sunshine with a huge heart. She also had 3 very special long-time friends who she cared for deeply including Pat Aldridge of Hooks, TX, Mary Phipps of El Dorado, AR and Charlie Jean Bock of Fayetteville, AR.

She attended New Boston Independent School District where she excelled in sports. She was the first person to be named to the NBISD Sports Hall of Fame. She completed her Master's degree at SAU, Magnolia, AR, where she played volleyball and earned all-intercollegiate player of the year her sophomore and junior years. After college, she ended up in the food industry business. She worked for Oak Ridge Nursing and Rehab as a CDM for 27 years where she loved her co-workers and the residents.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Young's Funeral Directors, and a memorial service is pending.
