Born November 28, 1923in El Dorado, he was the son of Hiram Owen and Vera Fite Kelley. Mr. Kelley retired as a foreman after 25 years with Columbian Carbon. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II with 4th Infantry Division in the Aleutian Island. He was awarded Asiatic Pacific Medal with campaign star, American Defense Medal with campaign star, the Army Good Conduct Medal, and was a member of the El Dorado VFW.
Preceding him death along with his parents was his wife, Annie Mae Ponder Kelley, a brother, Harold Kelley and sisters, Mary Dale Kelley and Vera Kelley Parker Fite, and sons Ted Larry Kelley, Mike Owen Kelley, James Shelton Kelley.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Bricklen of Mt Holly; and 8 grandchildren.
