Born August 16, 1946 in El Dorado, he was the son of Thomas P. and Maxine Burleson Brasher. Tommy graduated from El Dorado High School in 1964 where he excelled in football and track. He attended Arkansas State in Jonesboro and received his Associate’s Degree from SAU in 1978. He was a member of the US Navy and served a tour in Viet Nam. Most of his life he was an insurance salesman and most recently a home inspector for Allstate.
In his later years Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed sunrise on the water and sunsets in the woods. He spent many years sitting around a campfire with close friends. He was one of a kind, he lived his life in such an authentic way.
Preceding him in death along with his parents were his in-laws, Cloise and Fae Rotton and a son, Jerry Davis.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sarah, two sons, Steven Davis and Thomas C. (TC) Brasher both of El Dorado, his daughter, Becky Dowdy (Russell) of Texarkana, AR and his special grandson, Evan Dowdy. Also surviving is his brother, Johnny Brasher (Pam) of Spencer, West Virginia and his sister, EmmaFae Cagle of Anderson, SC along with a beloved niece Rosie Culver (Rob) of Baton Rouge and many other nieces and nephews.
His wishes were for a private burial at a later date. The family appreciates all texts, calls, and prayers from family and friends.
