He was a member of Victory Baptist Church, and his home church was Canaan Baptist Church. He was a retired welder for Milam Construction Company for 30 years. He was an avid horseman and enjoyed going on trail rides with his favorite horse, Beebop.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 29 years, Deloris "Sally" Perry Taylor.
He is survived by one daughter, Janice Taylor of Spearsville, LA; one son, Steven H. Taylor (Tammy) of El Dorado, AR; three granddaughters, Lauren Tyson (Alan), Kaitlin Taylor, and Brooklyn Taylor all of El Dorado; three great-grandchildren, Analeigh, Brooks and Adlee Tyson; two sisters, Carolyn Smith (Jimmy) and Sheila Williams (Lamon) all of Spearsville, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was a loving family man who especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Young's Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church with Bro. Nick Andrews and Bro. Rubin Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at Canaan Baptist Cemetery in Spearsville under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
