

Born October 9, 1945 in Lillie, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Albert Wade Green and Clara Elizabeth Dison. Mrs. Stringer worked for 33 years in the cafeteria of Junction City Public Schools and Spearsville School System retiring from both. Mrs. Stringer was a lifelong member of the Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church. She loved spreading the Word of God & blessing others through sharing her joy of cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Matt Stringer, two brothers, James Alton Green and Verna Green and two sisters, Barbara Green Black and Nancy Green.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Jack Stringer of Spearsville, Louisiana, and sons, Mark Stringer (Karen), of El Dorado, and Jack Stringer, III (Tina) of Mt. Holly. She was also survived by five grandchildren; Cody Stringer (Candace) of Little Rock, Drew Stringer and Clay Stringer both of Mt. Holly, Mallory Stringer and Hunter Stringer both of El Dorado.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, April 11, at the Mt. Union Baptist Church at Faircrest with Rev. Rubin Weaver, Rev. Marty Black, and Rev. Adam Hill officiating. Interment will follow at the Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the Mt. Union Baptist Church at the Faircrest community.
