

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Case; sister, Fannie Plato; son, Steven Case; and grandson, Casey Ivy.
He survived by his loving wife, Grace Case, of El Dorado; brothers, Tom B. Case, Jr. of Louisiana, Jim Case of Mississippi; sisters, Edna Leblanc, Nettie Young, Mary Talbot, Lucy Cordes and Fay Stigler all of Louisiana; daughter, Patricia Spork (John) of Texas; son, Carl Case (Michelle) of Louisiana; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Bill spent 24 years in the US Army with duty in several states, Korea, two tours in Vietnam and three tours in Germany. He was awarded several medals, including the Bronze Star. He later worked and retired from ARLKA Gas. He was selected as one of El Dorado’s “Five Who Care”, also selected as the Senior Volunteer of Southwest Arkansas and selected to receive a KARK Channel 4 Community Service Award. In 2005, he was inducted into Arkansas’ Senior Volunteer Hall of Fame.
Bill was a member of the Civitan Club, American Legion and VFW, and was a long time board member of Area Agency on Aging of Southwest Arkansas. An avid volunteer for both the Civitans and El Dorado Connections, he always felt better if he did at least one good deed a day. He was a long time member of Temple Baptist Church and faithfully read his Bible every day.
He hunted, but liked fishing and golf better. A big Sports fan, he looked forward to football games, but watched whatever sport was on TV.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, July 6, at Young’s.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at Young’s Chapel with Bro. Gary Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of donors’ choice.
