William Paul Taunton, 81 of El Dorado Arkansas passed away January 4, 2020. He was born February 12, 1938 to L.A. Taunton and Eva Taylor Taunton in Caledonia, Arkansas.

Paul was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing and deer hunting as well as golf and wood working. He worked as a building contractor until his retirement.

Preceding him are his parents; two brothers Tommy Taunton, and Edward Eddie Taunton, along with two sisters; Alice Halfacre, and Cindy Rowland.

Surviving him are his wife of 60 years, Geneva Brumley Taunton; his son William “Sonny” Taunton (Shawn) of Abilene Texas, Daughter Rhonda Bender (John) of Fayetteville Arkansas. Also his sisters Betty Kelly (Alvin) of Junction City and Ann Bearden of Dallas Texas. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, as well as his German shepherd Tess.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm at Young's Funeral Director one hour prior to the service.

Graveside services will be held under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jim Bolding officiating.
