It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Adrian Cruz Chavira. Adrian succumbed to his battle with brain cancer. He was a loving “Pops” who was devoted to his children, Levi Cruz and Haeven Alejandra. From his humble beginnings in Canutillo, Texas, he was always surrounded by a loving family. Adrian enlisted in the United States Air Force, was deployed during the conflict with Iraq. After serving in the USAF, he continued his patriotic duty by serving in the Air Force Reserves. He gained the respect from his high-ranking officers and fellow airmen with his dedicated work ethic. He obtained his BA while serving. His knowledge, and specialized skills, gave him job opportunities with various defense contractors, always raising the bar, for a better life for his family. He settled in California, making Palmdale his final home.
Adrian is survived by his loving children, Levi and Haeven. His parents Griselda and Oscar will always be very proud of all his lifetime achievements. He leaves behind his military family, his aunts, uncle, and many cousins and friends. He made a lasting impression in Palmdale with everyone whose lives were touched by him. He was dedicated to volunteering his time and energy with Building Homes 4 Veterans. He also supported Wounded Warriors Project and St. Jude Children’s Research.
Son, you leave us with your sense of humor, your knowledge of world issues, your beautiful smile with those pearly whites etched in our memory.
Whether you knew him as Tata, Taters, Ace, Cheech, Mijo, Dad or Adrian - He will always be loved, and will live in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Adrian's memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/; and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, https://www.stjude.org.
