

Alfredo “Freddie” Lopez, born December 1, 1955, age 60 died at William Beaumont Army Medical Center on January 19, 2016 after a long battle with cancer.
Freddie was preceded in death by his parents Miguel R. and Maria B. Lopez. He is survived by his loving sister Mary “Lily” Branson and Brother Mike J. Lopez, wife Armida Gallegos-Lopez and children Danny Zuniga, Monica Estrada and Gabriel Zuniga he is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Freddie Lopez is a life-long resident of El Paso Texas and was an El Paso High School graduate ‘74 before volunteering for the Vietnam Conflict. He served in the US Army, in the medical field, attending to veterans returning from Vietnam. He served his community as a civil servant as he was a long time employee of the city of El Paso in both the El Paso Water Company and Sun Metro Area Transit, He later was employed at Fort Bliss Army Base at packing and crating as a subcontractor. Freddie loved life and lived to ride. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:15 pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hillcrest Funeral Home.
