Alicia V. Verdugo was 99 years old. She went home to our Lord on April 30, 2022. She was a proud graduate of Bowie High School, Class of 1942. She was a devote catholic, and a member of Santo Nino de Atocha Catholic Church. There she served in the following ministries as a lector, CCD formation director, confirmation director, finance committee member, and raffle chairman for several years. She also was active in other organizations including PTA, girl’s scouts, boy scouts, a member of the Golden Bear social club, the four aces, and the blue and gold club of Guardian Angel school. She is preceded in death by her husband Mr. Maximo Verdugo Sr., and her grandson Thomas Anthony Verdugo. Survived by her children Linda V. Campuzano, Maximo Verdugo Jr., and Victor Verdugo (Terri). She leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one honorary great granddaughter. Join us for her celebration of life on Thursday May 5, 2022. The visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the rosary at 7 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home East 1460 George Dieter. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Santo Nino de Atocha Catholic Church 210 S. Clark with internment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
