Angelina, “Angie”, Gonzalez, 83, went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, April 17th, 2018. She was a lifelong resident of El Paso, TX. Angie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Her love of God, family, and the “enfermitos” were the primary focus of her life. Angie worked tirelessly to offer help and counsel to anyone in need. Angie was a very active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, serving as sacristan, lector, extra-ordinary minister of Communion, and leader of the Homebound Ministry. Deeply in love with her Catholic faith, she lived her faith by demonstrating many acts of kindness, compassion, and encouragement to all she encountered – especially the sick and homebound parishioners of St. Pius X. When challenges arose, Angie had a saying or “dicho”: “Si tu mal tiene cura para que te apurras, y si no tiene cura para que te apurras? If your problem has a solution why worry, and if it doesn’t have a solution why worry? In short, let go and let God! She is survived by her beloved husband, Eugenio Sr.; daughter Diana Hidalgo and son-in-law Ruben; son Jerry; son Eugenio Jr. and wife Tonia, with sons Stephen and Michael. Angie was the daughter of the late Tomas and Josefa Pedregon, her beloved parents. She was sister to Ernesto Pedregon, Tomas Pedregon Jr., Maria Alvarado, Consuelo Rodriguez, Stella Davis, Alfonso Pedregon, and Margarita Martinez. She was also an aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is 5 – 8 PM Sunday, April 22nd with Holy Rosary at 6 PM Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915. Funeral Mass will be at 8:30 AM Monday, April 23rd at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1050 N. Clark, El Paso, TX 79905. Interment is at 10 AM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
