Anthony Floyd Cieszkiewicz

Anthony Floyd Cieszkiewicz passed away from natural causes on Monday March 27, 2017 at the age of 91. He was a longtime resident of El Paso, Texas and Anthony, NM. He was born in Gary Indiana to Florenlyana Dunayska Cieszkiewicz and Antoni Cieszkiewicz on October 20, 1925. He was one of fifteen children, Elona, William, Wanda, Richard, Alfonso, Peter, Paul, Joseph, Mary, Theresa, Stanley, Steve, Florence, and Mitchell. Anthony served three years in the Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1946 as a gunner on troop and merchant marine vessels. He married Eddie Mae Young, native of El Paso, on December 31, 1949. They were married for 67 years. He graduated from Texas Western in 1952 with a degree in business. Early in his career, Anthony worked for Mortgage Investment Bank, and then taught school in El Paso for many years. He continued working after retirement with various real estate ventures including land development in Anthony, New Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Eddie Mae, three children – Anthony F. Cieszkiewicz, William Edward Cieszkiewicz, and Mary Teresa Moleres – seven grandchildren, and one great granddaughter, all of whom brought him great joy and happiness. Anthony loved to travel with his family. He will be missed by all who ever had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral service is at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 31st at St. Matthew Catholic Parish at 400 West Sunset. Rosary and viewing service is at 6 PM on Thursday, March 30th at Martin Funeral Home West at 128 N. Resler Dr. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park at 4848 Alps Drive following the funeral mass.
