With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Bertha Alicia Morales, our loving and devoted mother who was loved by all those whose lives she touched. Bertha passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on September 29, 2021, at the age of 90. She was the last surviving sibling in a family of 12 children from Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico.
Bertha was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 56 years, Ernesto Morales (2013), her infant child Ernesto (1959), and her beloved son Jose Antonio (1995). Bertha is survived by her six children, 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Her surviving children include Yolanda Hernandez (Eduardo), Patricia Sauceda (Baldomero), Ernesto Morales Jr. (Susan), Susana Mendoza (Luis), Virginia Gonzales (Anthony) and Daniel Morales (Martina).
Bertha was an exceptional wife and devoted stay at home Mom for her children and cared deeply for her family and friends. A devout Catholic and a parishioner of Santo Nino de Atocha Catholic Church, she was always the first to offer help such as regularly providing meals and donations to those in need. In addition, she always ensured that every child who crossed her path was safe, healthy, and happy.
The memorial service will be held at Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 N. Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, TX 79936 on Wednesday October 6th, 2021. The Viewing will be from 4 - 6 p.m. followed by the Rosary from 6 - 8 p.m. The Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church, 12200 Vista Del Sol Drive, El Paso, TX 79936 on Thursday October 7th, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. followed by the Burial at Fort Bliss Cemetery at 1 p.m.
