Carolina Castaneda passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2020 at the age of 91. She is preceded in death by her husband Luis Castaneda Sr. and son Michael. Carolina is survived by her sisters Dorina Lujan (Gilbert), Cecilia Lopez (Victor), Carmen Allen and brother Jose Carbajal (Rebecca); her daughter Teresita Nava (Jesus), son Luis Castaneda (Anita), Jr. daughter Estella Brown (Ridge), 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Carolina, born May 16, 1928 and lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas, was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a long time parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and a member of the Guadalupanas.
Prayer services will take place Wednesday, April 15 and will be live streamed through Crestview Funeral Home Facebook at 9:00 a.m. for all who wish to participate from home. In a private ceremony, Carolina will be laid to rest at Ft. Bliss Cemetery next to her husband of 57 years.
