Carolyn Stewart, 83, of El Paso, Texas, died peacefully at the Bartlett Assisted Living Center on November 13, 2025.
She was born in Winters, Texas in 1942 to Carl and Elfreda Gottschalk, where she attended grade school and graduated high school. Carolyn was a proud Texas Tech University alumna, where she majored in Home Economics and Textiles. After earning her degree, she moved to El Paso, Texas, where she met the love of her life, Frank D. Stewart II. Carolyn taught Home Economics at Jefferson High School and Coronado High School. Carolyn started her career as a Christian education director at Anthony United Methodist Church, she was then requested to serve at St. Mark’s Methodist Church. She finished her career by answering a call to serve as Christian Education Director at Coronado Baptist Church. Teaching children about Jesus and their salvation was her pride and joy in life. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, sister, mother-in-law, and grandmother.

Carolyn was preceded in death by Carl and Elfreda Gottschalk (parents), Martin Gottschalk (brother), and Francis Mielke (sister) and is survived by Frank D Stewart III (son) and Audrie Stewart, Timothy (son) and Hannah Stewart, Ellee and Kaylee Stewart (granddaughters), Graham and Kade Stewart (grandsons), Otto Gottschalk (brother), Carl (brother) and Lynda Gottschalk, and Mike and Anna (sister) Shannon.
