

Texas. Daisy was born in Mayhill, New Mexico, on November 16, 1920, to Amanda Ehart and Newton Pendergrass.
She was raised on the family ranch in Mayhill, went to school in Mayhill, Cloudcroft, and graduated from Tularosa
High School in 1938. She attended Cosmetology and business schools in El Paso. She was the youngest of 8 children.
In El Paso, she met and married Joe W. Jackson. They were married for 67 years. Daisy was a manicurist at the Hilton Barbershop, was a home maker, and a school secretary in both the El Paso and Ysleta school districts. Daisy was
preceded in death by her husband, Joe W. Jackson, and her grandson, Marcus Cody Aycock. She is survived by her
daughter, Sandra Jo Aycock, son-in-law Howard N. Aycock of Alto, New Mexico, and grandson, A. Michael Scott, great granddaughter, Abigail Scott, of El Paso, and also her "special girl" Dottie McCarthy of Fort Collins, Colorado. She was a
13 year resident of The Monte Vista at Coronado Retirement Home. She was active in all elements of life at the Home.
She served on the resident council, managed the Library and was a friend and helper to everyone. At Monte Vista she was surrounded by a loving staff including special friends, Carmen Munoz, Miss Vicki, Howard Turley, Robin and the wonderful
girls in the dining room. She is also survived by her many dear friends at the West Side Church of Christ. A graveside
service will be held on May 17, 2013, at 11:00 am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. The service will be conducted by the
Rev. Frankie Jarrell and the Rev. Lt. Col. (retired) Vern Edmondson, both of Ruidoso, N.M. The family requests that in lieu
