Daniel Chavira

Daniel Chavira known to loved ones as Dan Dan was promoted to heaven on October 21, 2017. His lion heart will live on forever in his wife Melisa Vasquez Chavira and in his son Leo Trinidad Chavira. He is now an angel of protection for his mother Melva Esquivel Chavira and his siblings Delinda Chavira Artalejo (Mark) and Damisela Chavira-Brown. He will be a constant friend to his cousins Robert (Myra), Alex, and Annette (Martin) Appelzoller. His passion for life will forever be instilled in his nieces and nephews; Daniel, Cene, Gianna, Beau, Isabella and Marley. Along with his dear cousins, Dania, Sabina, Daisy, Nicolas, Alexander, Christopher, Annalise, Savannah, Angel, and Bruce. Other survivors include his aunts Corina Appelzoller and Connie Nieves, uncles are Valentin and Pablo Chavira . Visitation will be held on Monday, October 30th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home East with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Mass will be Tuesday, October 31st at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Pallbeares include Mark Artalejo, Henry Gallardo, Daniel Melendez, Beau Brown, Arturo Lujan, Edgar Villalobos, Robert and Alex Appelzoller. Honorary pallbearers are Arlona McGill and Peter Hernandez. He excelled at many things but was exceptional at being a father to our son Leo. His positivity and generosity inspired motivation in many hearts and changed many lives for the better. He will be dearly missed and loved "a lot of a lots” forever.
