Diane M. Durham, loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away February 11, 2021, at the age of 66. Originally from Michigan, she, her husband Don, and their children lived in many parts of the country, but decided to make the El Paso area home upon his retirement.
She enjoyed walking for exercise, bicycling with friends, the occasional hike, knitting, and her book club; however, her greatest joys were her three children and her seven grandchildren. She spent much of her time traveling to visit them, and calling or FaceTiming with them when she could not be by their side. She was a great mother and the most wonderful grandmother, and she will be missed more than words can express.
She was also a caring and compassionate friend to many. She would drop everything to help others when they needed help, even if they didn’t or couldn’t ask.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Durham, her parents, Harry and Laura Dziduch, and her granddaughter, Emily Waddell. She is survived by her daughters Laura Waddell (E. T) and Lisa Durham, her son Scott Durham (Katie), and her grandchildren Fisher, Piper, Cooper, and Decker Durham, and Logan and Wyatt Waddell. She is also survived by her sisters Bernice Raglon (Milton) and Margie Laurie (Tom), and numerous friends and other family members.
A visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home West on March 22, 2021 from 9-11.
A funeral mass will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church at noon on March 22, 2021 followed by burial at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (www.rmhc.org). She was known to have collected thousands of can tabs over the years to donate to support their efforts.
We kindly ask that all attendees to Diane’s funeral events please continue to wear your mask.
