Dear Family Beeler, 

I would like to express my sympathy for the loss of Mr. Beeler. I have fond memory of him being my teacher (class of 82) I was merely a scolar for one year in the US but enjoyed the classes of Mr. Beeler very much. I know it is already almost four years ago I just learned this news and wanted to show my respect for a great teacher and great person from whom I learned a lot and who was very open to discussions and opinions.

My dearest Mary and family, our condolences.  Ed came into our lives in 1993 during a weekend Retrouvaille couples retreat at The Howard Johnson’s at Hawkins and the gateway.  Ed was that soft spoken gentleman with his beautiful Mary by his side.   He taught us so many life lessons that are the real foundation of our marriage today.   He consoled and loved his wife as a true testimony to a beautiful marriage made in heaven.   He knew our questions before we asked them and shared experiences that only a man in love could know how to answer.   What a gardener, as he cultivated his marriage he did the same for his amazing garden..  We loved Ed like a dad and a genuine friend.   He will forever be in our hearts with that beautiful smile...I imagine he’s got the Angels in heaven gardening for God.

I only knew Mr. Beeler for a short time,  but during the time I did get to spend with him I realized quickly that he was a kind, sweet,  gentle man.  I cared for him in the capacity of Nursing.   I enjoyed my visits very much with him and his wife.  It was such a great honor to be able to care for them.  He would always talk with me and share experiences with me.   I enjoyed his company even for only a short time each visit.  He was such a kind, gentle,  caring,  and very intelligent man.  I will miss him dearly,  and will always remember him.  May God Bless him now, and always.  And, may God Bless his family with much love,  comfort,  peace, and strength.   Thank you Linda for allowing me to come in to their home and care for him.  Rest in peace sweet man.

Ed is an important part of our Master Gardener experience. His great passion and kindness will be forever missed. Like others have said, we all know that he will be gardening happily in heaven!

Dear Mary, children, and Sylvia Beeler Pope, I am saddened by the loss of Ed. For sixteen years Ed Beeler was among a bevy of ten little females, the singular male offspring in our generation on his father’s side. I was admiring of my cousin, the handsome lad, esteemed by our elders, as smart, obedient, kind, caring, helpful and gentle, all traits reflective of the teaching of his mother, father and dear Aunt Lillian who loved him and his sister Sylvia as if her own.
I recall the time Ed and Mary, with their beautiful children, stopped for a couple of days with my family, as they were en route to the military army base in Brooklyn, NY. I enjoyed the elegant mannerisms of my cousin Ed and his sweet, soft-speaking Mary. 
I am with much chagrin that Ed left us before I could work with him and Sylvia, on their genealogy project to which he was much committed.  It just so happens, several days before I learned of Ed’s passing, I came across my father’s photograph of young Ed and my mother, his Aunt Elsa.
With words of Kahlil Gibran, “When you are sorrowful look again in your heart and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.” 
Ed’s humility and respect for his fellowman was gift to all that knew him. May you find comfort in memories of times shared with him.

Cousin Mary, Linda and Family, my mom, Margaret Beeler Butler and I send our sincere condolences to you and your family.  I last spoke with cousin Ed Minor in April, mom was recovering from neck surgery.  It was a joy to hear his voice, he lifted mom's spirits.

Ed will be deeply missed as a Master Gardener.  He was a wonderful volunteer.  

Condolences to the Beeler family on the loss of the family patriarch. Ed was my father in law for 26 years. I remember how welcoming he was when Louis and i  were courting. There was so many happy times and gatherings at Ed  and Mary's home full of laughter and conversations. So sorry the family can not say good together. Love Darcy 

We use to over to there house and vist enjoying dinner and. Mr Beeler big bottles of wine. Many great memories of our friendships.

My father met Mr. Beeler when he served in the army and they became fast friends and later  came to be compadres. We admire Mr. Beeler and we love him dearly. He will be greatly missed. May The Universe envelope him in love and light and give solace to his family in their time of grief. We love you so much Compadre, godspeed.

I am deeply grieved by the passing away of my only sibling, but I know Ed is in a better place, for Jesus said "he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." (John 11:25) My brother's faith was strong and he read his Bible often.

Ed was kind, soft-spoken and had a gentle spirit. Growing up he was curious and always seeking knowledge. My brother looked after me and always gave good advice. In later years we texted, emailed and talked on the phone often. We researched our genealogy and shared information we discovered.

I cherish the memories of my visit with Ed and his family in 2018. It was so good to see and visit with all of you. I love you and my prayer is that you will be strengthened and comforted in the days ahead.

Dearest Beeler family, I am so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. He was like a dad to me , as I always felt a part of your family. Ed was always interested in what was going on in my life and seemed like yesterday when we visited no matter how long is was between visits. I wanted to come out and pay my respects but things aren't like that, for now.  Pamela and I love you all and hope to visit soon. May our Lord comfort you all through this time.

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to JO1 Linda D. Hartwig, her husband, Chief Roger D. Hartwig, their Mother, Mary Beeler and their family on the loss of their most humble and remarkable Patriarch, Ed Beeler.

I met JO1 (Linda) and Chief (Roger) when I served as a civilian at the Recruiting Command they were attached to while serving in the US Navy in Michigan. I met Chief in 2002 and later, JO1 in 2005/2006 timeframe when she checked in on her first day reporting for duty. 

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting "Papa" (as she affectionately called him) Beeler after JO1 retired and relocated to El Paso to care for her parents. One fine day in 2016, I phoned and she introduced me to her Papa. I delighted in listening to him share detailed stories of his life, and his mother's secret to living a long and full life upon the earth, which was, she always obeyed God's Commamdments, especially the 5th, as she "honored her father and mother."  He shared with me that it was his secret to a long life as well, and that he was a believer. It was evident he loved God, his family and prayer (I recall him concluding our conversation with prayer). He spoke of his love for gardening, also. I found it quite refreshing and a sheer joy to have met him, and I am very fortunate and blessed to have shared an enlightening chat. It felt as if I'd known him as long as I've known his daughter and son whom I am grateful to regard as family. 

JO1 is truly exemplary of her Father's belief and his teaching...she whole-heartedly, diligently with unfailing love and unwavering commitment stood by her parents, honoring them to the fullest. 

Papa Beeler will always be remembered, honored, loved and missed by those whose lives he touched. He was truly a gift wrapped in the spirit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ given unto us from the Father and to the Father he has returned. 

Love, hugs and prayers to the Beeler Family. May God comfort and strengthen you during this time and always. 

Although Ed has passed, he leaves  Mary, the Beeler family and friends the memories of his gentle caring ways.  Whenever he came to Louisville  to visit his mother  Lucille, my aunt his warmth and smile always filled the room.  May his memories replace the loneliness that is  present and fill all with smiles and laughter. Blessing’s to Mary and the family!

I am so sorry for your loss and my prayers are for both you and your wife. He is in God's hands and one day we will all be there with him and you can introduce me to your father. He sounded like a great man a wonderful father. God give you the strength to go through this time. 

I graduated in 2007 and my Empa Frank always drove my Emma to see us in Albuquerque but by that time his Parkinson’s had gotten too bad. Mr Beeler was the one who drove my Emma and Empa down to see me graduate high school. I’ve never seen Mr Beeler in a bad mood or agitated, always smiling and optimistic. He wrote me a graduation card and I can’t remember exactly how it went but it went something like this: “Give an hour to god, an hour to knowledge, an hour to yourself, and the rest to your family, everyday, and you will live a beautiful life.” 

I knew Ed as an El Paso Master Gardener.  His was always a smiling, friendly face that greeted us in the morning as he shared his enthusiasm for gardening.  My thoughts are with Linda and the rest of his family.  His was a life well lived.

Mr Ed Beeler was a wonderful man, very pleasant,  he was always doing his best to get better,  and over the years l became like a family member,  he would be missed greatly , my family and I extend our deepest condolences to Lynda,  Mrs Beeler and the rest of his wonderful family,  adieu Mr Beeler. 

Mr.Beeler was a great man, who was very  caring. It was an honor to have been his home care nurse. He will be greatly missed. May his soul rest in peace with the Lord  and may the Lord comfort the Beelers.

Ed was my favorite "MG Ed" as my husband's name is also Ed. Ed was in my MG class and quickly became one of favorite class members.  I missed seeing him these last few years and am saddened to hear of his passing. God bless him and his family.

Ed was such a special man, and always a gentleman.  He was knowledgeable about so many different things, but particularly gardening!  We loved having him as Master Gardener, and active in the Class committee. He shared not only information, but had open hands and an open heart to share from his resources.  I especially remember him bringing 2 boxes full of various types of garlic for sharing with the Master Gardener class.  I asked him why he chose to share this rather expensive gift,  and he said he'd forgotten that he had already ordered garlic and had reordered  the same thing. He thought the best thing to do was to share his mistake with everyone! His absence from the Master Gardener Class Committee left a gaping hole that will never be filled!  May the Lord bless his family, especially his wife,  and Linda his lovely daughter,  who was dedicated to helping him to volunteer as long as he was able, and blessed us with her kindness and presence. 

It was my great pleasure to know Ed and enjoy our Master Gardener times together. Rest in peace Ed and tend the heavenly gardens. Lou Ellen

I knew Ed from the El Paso Master Gardeners. We were in the same class. He was the kindest, sweetest gentleman that I have ever had the honor to call my friend. A very smart gardener with some amazing skills and ideas. I will miss him a lot. God has a wonderful, new angel!

Our deepest condolences to Ed's family.  My sisters and I remember Ed fondly from our time at St. Raphael.  And I am so pleased I got to see him again as a Master Gardener.  Heaven will have a beautiful garden now that Ed is there.

Mr. Edd Beeler was my Home Health Patient for Occupational Therapy. Mr. Edd was pleasant , energetic, hilarious, and very understanding. I had no problem with him or his family the entire time I took care of him. I told him several times “Senior Edd you stole my job” because he was over doing his HEP home Exercise Program. God is the giver of life; he has ran the last mile of his way.  Thank God for a life well spent. Good Night Senior Edd . The Lord comfort and console the family.

I was very fortunate to have known and loved Ed Beeler for most of my life.  He was a very good friend of my father and mother. He cared for us like his family. He prayed with us, for us and for everyone else. He taught me many things and was always willing to share his knowledge on so many subjects.  The most lasting memory of Ed was after my father passed away. He took the time to write each of us a letter on how much my father meant to him and how much they loved each other like brothers. He continued to look after my mother and was always there for her.  I hope Ed is with his mom and dad, and that big beautiful smile of his is lighting up the mountainside. God Bless and Rest In Peace.

Our dear Ed was such a vital  presence in the El Paso County Master Gardener Association. Gardening was truly a passion for him and he loved to share that passion every year with our master gardener classes.  He was loving and kind to all of us and we have missed his presence since he has been ill.  I am confident that he is already busy tending the Lord's garden. Rest in peace dear friend. You will be sorely missed.

I knew Ed Beeler as the beloved father of my friend, Linda, but he came to life in her stories about him. He was a born naturalist with a great love for the plants who grew under his touch, the wildlife that thrived around his home. This was his legacy, along with his children, to the world he lived in. My condolences to the family and my gratitude to him for his exemplary stewardship of his bit of earth. Would that we could all live so consciously.

Those are words my sister used in our group text. I love how that beautifully expresses what we witnessed. It should carry us through every future Christmas as we remember our dear father. 

Home for Christmas. Papa was able to return to his home to be in the love, care and nurturing of his family before he passed on to his home in heaven. 
We were able to talk to and see him which would have been impossible if he had remained in the hospital. 

That is exceptionally meaningful during these extremely difficult (COVID-19) times we are living through.
