Emilia M. Avila was kind hearted, a breath of fresh air and the sunshine that warmed everyone’s heart. She had love in her heart for every one she met and never considered anyone a stranger. She made friends with everyone she met always lending a helping hand. She was an angel that walked this earth for 94 years. On February 18, 2015 our blessed Lord called our angel home to join our family that has departed too soon. She was preceded in death by her husband Evaristo Avila and her son Evaristo Avila Jr. She leaves behind her daughters Terecita Garcia (Manuel+), Estela Gonzalez (Agustin), and Bertha Guerrero (Amador). Sons: Luis Avila (Carmen), Rodolfo Avila (Rebecca), 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Many nephews and nieces. Her devoted friend Cuca Garcia. Visitations will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina on Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be Monday, March 2, 2015 at 9:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment at Ft. Bliss Memorial Cemetery.
