Estelle R. Plaza

Estelle Rose Plaza passed away on March 30, 2013, at 88 years old and was born in Cheyenne, WY. She spent her early years in Chicago, Ill., where she worked for Sears & Roebuck until she moved to El Paso. She transferred here as Credit Manager where she worked for 26 years. After retirement she served as Volunteer Coordinator for Southwest Hospital for 26 years. She also enjoyed sharing her musical talents singing and playing the guitar for several Nursing Home residents celebrating their birthdays. Preceding her in death, were her parents Theodore and Lupe Plaza, her sisters, Ofelia Plaza and Olga Plaza Naughton (Tom). Survivors include her brother, Arnold Plaza (Irene), 16 nephews and nieces, 4 cousins and their respective families. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 pm at Harding-Orr & McDaniel Funeral Home at 320 Montana Ave with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 5, 2013, at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 4800 Byron St. , followed by interment at Evergreen Alameda Cemetery.
