Esther Lares, 66, passed away on March 26, 2026, at 4:20 p.m. Born on August 11, 1959, Esther will be remembered as a compassionate, beloved, and kind-hearted woman whose presence brought comfort to those around her.
Esther is survived by her mother, Guadalupe Meraz, her children, Alma Flores and Vincent Castaneda, and her daughter, Eugenia Guadalupe Castaneda. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Espiridion Perez, and by her cherished grandchildren: Cassandra Seanz, Emanuel Saenz, Aranza Portillo, Adeal Medina, Nathan Flores, Gabriel Flores, Evelyn Flores, and Iris Flores.
Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915, on March 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Rosary will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915, on March 30, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar, El Paso, Texas 79925, on March 31, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.
