Gaudencio “Lencho” Marin was born on June, 25th 1938, in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, to his parents, Augustin and Isabel Marin. He is survived by his wife, Bertha Gonzalez Marin, and their 4 children, Alma Marin, Lourdes Robles (Gilbert), Patricia Navarro, and John Marin (Rosemary), as well as 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, and 3 siblings, Isela Lujan (Raymundo), Ramon Marin, and Yolanda Rodriguez (Carlos). He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Carlos Marin.
Lencho moved to the United States from Mexico as a young adult and gained his citizenship. He worked hard, but didn’t need a lot. Mostly, he thoroughly enjoyed his family. He was a humble, good man who never met a person he didn’t like. He often took road trips, including to see his brothers in California and his in-laws in the Mexican state of Durango. He most recently travelled to the beach in Puerto Pinasco, where he enjoyed every minute. He also loved Nortenas and Tejano music, dancing, an occasional cold beer, and a hot cup of coffee. He took pride in keeping his truck in immaculate shape and spent his whole life sharply dressed.
