Gerald Ray Evans, 74, born March 27 1936 in El Paso, TX passed away on December 31, 2010. He is preceded in death by his brother Ercil D. (Doc) Evans and his sister Madie Earl Hufford. He attended Ysleta High School, served honorably in the US Army and retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad a conductor after 35 distinguished years of service. He was a Trainman true at heart. He loved the game of golf and all the friends it afforded him. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Michael and Rita of Tucson, AZ; his daughter Deanna of Santa Fe, NM; grandson Kevin Ray Evans who is proudly serving in the US Navy; his soul mate Glenda Kinney; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10:00 am., Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Harding-Orr & McDaniel Funeral Home, 320 Montana Ave.
