Guadalupe Rueda

Guadalupe Rueda entered into eternal life on Monday June 2nd, 2025. She was born on July 1, 1933 in El Paso, Tx. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years Leonardo Rueda, her parents Manuela and Pedro Rios, her two brothers, and four of her sisters. She is survived by her sister Margaret, her four children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Lupe graduated from Technical High school. She worked with the Ysleta Independent School District for many years as a clerk. After retirement she volunteered with hospice, St Stephen Catholic Church, and at Sageland Elementary School. Lupe enjoyed playing volleyball at the YMCA, reading, and spending time with friends. She had a deep devotion to the Virgen de Guadalupe and enjoyed praying the rosary every night with her husband and family.

A visitation for Guadalupe will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter Drive, El Paso, TX 79936. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 13, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at St. Stephen Deacon & Martyr Church, 1700 George Dieter Dr, El Paso, TX 79936. A graveside service will occur Friday, June 13, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
