Born on April 25th 1941 in Canutillo, Texas, Herminia Rivera was always a force of sweetness and kindness. Her loving spirit and friendly nature touched the lives of many.
Herminia was a lifelong resident of Canutillo, Texas and a member of St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Canutillo. She retired from Farah Manufacturing and thereafter worked at the Del Rio convenience store in Canutillo.
Herminia was preceded in death by her father Eleno Mendoza Rivera, her mother Guadalupe Calderon Rivera, her brothers Adolfo, Angel, Jose, Eustacio, Manuel, Cruz, her sister Socorro, her niece Socorro ( Sookie) Hill, and two great nieces Amber Leigh Oakley and Isabela M Rivera.
Herminia is survived by 20 nephews and nieces, 41 great nephews and nieces, 49 great-great nephews and nieces which were her greatest pride and joy.
Visitation for Herminia will be held Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Rosary at 6:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N. Resler Dr, El Paso, Texas 79912.
Funeral mass will take place Monday, February 23, 2026 at 12 noon at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 7065 Second Ave, Canutillo, Texas 79835.
Graveside services will follow at 1:30 pm, Anthony Community Cemetery, N 4th St. and Acosta Road, Anthony NM, 88021.
