

Jackie Miller, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2015, surrounded by family. Jackie was born and raised in El Paso and was a dedicated and active member of the El Paso community. She served as a member and committee chairman of the UTEP Women’s Auxiliary and numerous committees of Coronado Baptist Church. Jackie was a past president of the El Paso City PTA and the 15th District PTA. She was a registered parliamentarian and was Parliamentarian for the Woman’s Department of the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce. She was a dedicated member of Coronado Baptist Church, serving on the Ministry Council, as well as Women’s Ministry Coordinator. Jackie was dedicated to advancing missions and served as Counsel Member of the BGCT Missions Funding Board in Dallas, and as a member of the El Paso Baptist Association Church Plant Committee.
Jackie devoted all of her time to serving the Lord through service to others and to her beloved family. She was a blessing to her family and the community. She touched each of our lives deeply and will be remembered as she was: a strong, selfless, pure, loving, and devoted mother and grandmother. She will forever be treasured in our memories and our hearts.
Jackie was preceded in death by her late husband, Wayne L Miller, Sr. She is survived by her son, Wayne L. Miller, Jr. and wife Rebecca, daughter Cynthia S. Anderson and husband James, her four grandchildren: Scott, Courtney, Stuart, and Ashley Anderson. Also survived by her brother, Bob Baker, and sister, Geraldine McLeod.
The family would like to thank Dr. Byron Chesbro, CIMA Hospice, and AM Home Healthcare for their loving and compassionate care of our mother and grandmother.
The Celebration of Life will begin with a Visitation and Prayer Service on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 4:00pm till 6:00pm at Martin Funeral Home West 128 N. Resler Dr. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 10:30 am at Coronado Baptist Church 501 Thunderbird Dr., with a reception to follow. Officiated by Pastor Mike Woods. A Private interment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery
