

Janet Marie Plummer (nee O’Brien) age 89, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025 at Post, Texas. She was born on November 7, 1936 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to James Aloysious O’Brien, Sr. and Kathryn Monica Hood both from the Philadelphia area.
Janet was preceded in death by both her parents and her husband Donald Gilmore Plummer, Sr., El Paso, TX, son Donald Gilmore Plummer, Jr. of El Paso, TX and her daughter Lisa Marie Plummer of Oakland, NJ. Also preceding her death were siblings and their spouses: brother James Aloysious O’Brien, Jr. & Marie (nee Kane) of Springfield, PA; John F. Quinn, Jr. & sister Eileen Kathryn (nee O’Brien) Ellicott City, MD; Furman Joseph Nagle, Jr. & sister Rita Claire (nee O’Brien) of Longport, New Jersey. And nieces Andrea (nee Quinn) Virga and Patricia O’Brien.
Donald G. Plummer, Sr. & Janet were married on August 30, 1958 in St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Philadelphia, PA. In 1968, they moved to Oakland, NJ. and later in 1975 to El Paso, TX where they started their own janitorial supply business. Because of their hard work, dedication and with the help of their children, the business survives today as a third generation enterprise under the direction of grandchildren Amy Cataldi and Trey Plummer.
Surviving Janet are four children: Donna Marie (nee Plummer) Zavala (Sergio E.) of El Paso, TX; Donald G. Plummer, Jr.’s widow Lisa M. (nee Pickens) of El Paso, TX; James Harold Plummer (Janice L. nee Smith) of Post, TX; and Christine Plummer-Walker of Roxton, TX.
Also, Janet is survived by five grandchildren: Amy Kate Cataldi (nee Plummer) (Paul) of El Paso, TX; Donald G. (Trey) Plummer, III (Liana) of El Paso, TX; Marlee Johanna Henn (nee Plummer) (Eli) of Lubbock, TX; Carleigh Beatrice Acosta of Plano, TX; and Keenan David Acosta of Allen, TX.
Janet has six great grandchildren: Brenna, Cooper & Brooklyn Cataldi, Easton & Jaxon Plummer and Sloan Henn.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews from the O’Brien family side: Michael Quinn (Annie), Kevin Quinn (Shelly), Kathy (nee Quinn) Flynn (Charlie), Jamie Virga, Joe Nagle (Susan), Kevin Nagle (Regina), Patricia (nee Nagle) Kiernan (Gene), Doug Nagle (Kristi), and Sabina Bonnie (nee O’Brien) Howell (Rich).
Funeral services are set for December 2, 2025 at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in El Paso, TX with the vigil at 10:00 a.m., Rosary service at 11:00 a.m. and the Mass at 12 noon. Services for Janet’s final resting place will be with her husband at the Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged in her name to the Wounded Warrior Project or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
