Jeanette Calderon

Jeanette Calderon, 48, of El Paso, Texas, passed away on August 7, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. Born to Debbie Gutierrez on October 2, 1975, Jeanette’s life was a tapestry of love, strength, compassion, and generosity.

Jeanette graduated proudly from Jefferson High School in 1994, where she was involved in many school activities such as cheerleading, basketball and pageants. She was a natural beauty who always had a bright smile ready for everyone. Her ability to make many friends showed the capacity of her kind and gentle heart.

After graduating, her legacy began the day she became the mother of her beautiful baby girl, Annette Darlene Sanchez. Jeanette loved and cherished her daughter, dedicating her life to raising a beautiful young woman. She equally loved being a grandmother to her grandson, Mateo — spending quality time and creating beautiful memories with him.

Jeanette also loved spending time with her family and friends, radiating love and happiness whenever she went. She particularly loved listening to Annette sing. Jeanette enjoyed attending family gatherings, celebrating milestones and holidays. She was known for lighting up any room with her big smile and even bigger heart.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Juan & Catalina Gonzales; father: Ricardo Gutierrez; Uncle: Johnny Gonzales and cousins: Darlene Gonzales & Gustavo Lopez.

Jeanette’s memory will be cherished and kept alive by her mother: Debbie Gutierrez; stepfather: Roy Gallego; daughter: Annette Sanchez; grandson: Mateo Medrano; sisters: Stephanie Gutierrez (Jose), Venessa Dorey (Joseph), and Jessica Cervantes (David); brother: Ricky Gutierrez; godchildren: Jayden Dorey, Melanie Yanez, Matthew Tovar and Haley Velasquez. She will also be missed by her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude to her care provider, Irma Hernandez, for exceptional care and support. Services to honor and celebrate the life of Jeanette Calderon will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home located on 1060 N Carolina Dr, El Paso, Texas 79915. Mass will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Santo Nino De Atocha located on 210 S Clark Dr, El Paso, TX 79905 at 10:00 am.
