Jesus “Chuy” Silva lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the age of 87. After a valiant fight, Chuy died peacefully at home with his children and family by his side.
Chuy was born in El Paso, TX on December 27, 1934, to father Guadalupe Silva and mother Dolores Gomez Silva. The youngest of five sisters and one brother. Chuy graduated from Jefferson High School in 1953. In 1956, he went on to marry the love of his life Rafaela Parra Silva. They had four children, Guadalupe (Lupin), Diane, Jaime, and Virginia (Gina).
Chuy was a hardworking man and retired from the El Paso Housing Authority after over 20 years of dedicated service.
Chuy was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, grandson Jesus “Chuy” Lopez, and his beloved wife of 60 years Rafaela. He is survived by his Children Lupin (Mary), Diane (Chumino), Jaime (Juan), and Gina (Sergio), 10 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation and Vigil will be on Monday, January 24th, 2022
from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home

Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, January 25th, 2022,
at 11:30 a.m. at Santo Niño De Atocha Church 210 S. Clark Dr, El Paso, TX 79905. Interment to follow Evergreen Cemetery East 12400 Montana Avenue El Paso, TX 79938
