It is with great sadness I learned today of Johnny's passing.  I loved Johnny, a dear, sweet friend.  My prayers go out to each of you, his family, left to morn his memory.....what a wonderful  memory he left for all of us.

With deepest sympathy over the loss of your loved one, Johnny. May the power of prayer ease your sorrow, give you peace and provide much comfort for you during this difficult time. Matthew 21:22

Dearest Sweet Cousin Johnny, 

Speaking to your kind soul right now, I hope you can hear us. I believe you can. Whenever we saw you, over the many years, you so much joy you exuded to everyone around you; you carried so much heart inside you, in Arabic, we say, hanoun, in Spanish, cariñoso.  What a gift to give everybody, a gift to be remembered by... Joy. And laughter. And both of those came from the LOVE you had inside you. Always ready with a spirited greeting, or a heartful hug. You gave these joys and gifts so  freely, so freely, they were stored inside you: love of your neighbor and your cousins came easy to you. You were a joy-giver. You still are, because---when we remember you, and we WILL remember you, always, and dearly, we will remember that. YOUR CONSTANT AND ABIDING WARMTH OF KIND HEART. The many embraces over the years, your spirited laughter. Our hearts hurt right now. You are beloved by "all" who knew you. 

You left a mark. We are holding you in our hearts right now. You are back with your Mama and Daddy, sister Maggie. And all the beloveds gone before you. You are there, in your youthful, movie-star-self youth. In your finest suit. I know your heart is overjoyed at the recognition of all your beautiful people already there, who were holding a spot for you, I'm sure Amtoo Namnoume and Amoo Salim and Nawal all greeted you there, nearby your parents, Uncle Najib and Aunt Julia, two giants to us, and your sweet sister, beloved sister, Maggie. You will always remain alive in our souls, and we will see you again, come our turn to ride that arc upward, to the welcoming sky. See you, then, Johnny. See you, then! 

Dearest sweet cousins----on this earth, you will always be six siblings, as Judy said, "Three brothers and three sisters," though---on earth, four of you, beloveds to all of us, remain. I know this has been a terribly hard year for our sweet Najib and Julie Haddad cousins, a deeply, deeply beloved branch of the Haddad tree. Our hearts are with you. I am sending heartfelt and abiding love to Maynard [Munir] and Anita, Della, Kenny [Bunny], and Judy, and to Chris Haddad and his family, a difficult time in our life, the loss of Father---to you and your family---I send love and the deepest sympathies.

God bless you, each and all, at this time and forward. And what a blessed date to be transitioned to heaven, on Christmas. I think, this, itself, is a sign of such Gift & Grace. And blessing.
