Jose is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Hungerford; his son Joseph Hernandez; his daughter Yvette Vargas; his daughter Bridgette Contreras; and his daughter Jessica Martel, extended family and friends.
A visitation for Jose will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the Rosary at 6:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 11:30 AM at St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 7424 Mimosa Ave, El Paso, Texas 79915. An interment will occur Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, Fort Bliss, Texas 79906.
