Jose Medel

Jose Medel, our loving son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on March 23, 2019; he was 45 years old. A resident of Canutillo, Texas all his life, he was a teacher for the Canutillo Independent School District for over 15 years. He was awarded Teacher of the Year twice. He was also a Treasurer of Keep Vinton Beautiful. He loved to serve his community and the school district, always giving of his time, never saying no to any project. He is survived by his parents Jose and Ana Medel, brothers Martin Medel, Rick Medel and Carlos Medel, sisters Ana Medel, Irma Rodriguez and Martha Manning; aunt Altagracia Rodriguez, uncle Jose S Medel, sisters-in law Dora Medel and Angela Medel, brother-in law Jesse Martinez; nephews Marty Medel, Joshua Medel, Liam Medel, Asher Medel, Noe Barron and Brandon Manning; nieces Ashley Medel, Samantha Medel, Marlene Medel, Kelsey Medel, Ayla Medel, Felicia Manning and Ernestine Saenz; also someone who held an important place in his heart, Maribel Alomari. Lifelong best friend and brother Mauricio Rodriguez.
