My condolences to Karla's family. Be at peace knowing that she is in heaven, a mother that gives her life for her children has no other place to go. From heaven she will still be looking out for her children.

My condolences to the family for losing their guardian angel. Karla is a true HERO and will always be in her childrens eyes. Karla will always be by her childrens side at all times.

I am a minister for a church in california but used to live in El Paso a few years ago...I keep up to date with El Paso news because I love that city and hope to return with my wife and daughter there soon. The event of Karla's tragic death is a heartbreaking one but it is also an event that moves my heart. As I am sitting here preparing for my sermon on Sunday, I couldn't help but think of the similarities of Karla's unselfish love for her kids and the same love that Jesus had for us. In the same way that Karla gave up her life so that she could make sure her children were safe and out of danger even though it meant giving up her safety...well, isn't that what Christ did for us? He put us ahead of himself and knew that the only way that we could be saved was if he took us out of danger...even if it meant giving up his life. I will be sharing Karla's story with my congregation and tying it in with communion time. To Karla's family, know that your daughters story will never stopped being told. My congregation will be praying for you all.

I did not know Karla but her story touched my heart.  Her children will forever have a guardian angel looking over them.  God Bless the Cerino family.

This Brave woman proved once again that a mother's love has no limits. Having two wonderful daughters myself I have only admiration and respect for Karla Cerino. May her family find healing and peace. May her children grow to love and acknoledge her heroic efforts to save thier lives with no thought of her own safety or life. May all mothers who struggle daily with thier lives find strengm as I have from this angel. Rest in Peace.

Cuando me haya ido, desprendase y dejenme ir.Tengo tantas cosas que ver y que hacer, no deben ataantos avimos trme a sus lagrimas. I am so sorry for your loss of Karla. What a wonderful mom she was and a shining example to her children.

Even without knowing her, I can say that Karla was an amazing woman, and a strong mother.  It is unfortunate that her children will not be able to know her, but they will always know how much she loved them.

Karla you are an angel and a hero!  Tonight on Holy Thursday I kneeled in adoration of the cross and prayed for you and your family.  I pray that your children have fast healing and family and friends who surround them in love.  You saved them for a reason...they will be great people thanks to you.  May your family be comforted in the days and years ahead of raising your children without their mom.  My nieces and nephew just lost their mom to cancer and it's so hard for them.  Thank God for the two heroes who were there to receive your children into their arms. They are true heroes! God Bless you and know that you have touched many lives in your heroic efforts.
