Lydia R. Serafin of Las Cruces, New Mexico passed away March 29, 2018 at the age of 74. Lydia was born in Socorro, Texas. She retired from her job as Investigator for the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Seattle, Washington in 2006. Lydia enjoyed music, the arts and enjoyed card and jewelry making as her hobbies. Lydia had an adventurous spirit and was a generous individual who helped friends and family alike. She was preceded in death by her parents Wenceslao and Florencia Serafin and her brother Mike. Lydia is survived by her sister Angie Jacobo and brothers, Joe, Armando, Rudy, Luis and Hector Serafin, all from El Paso, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
Rosary and memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, April 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter – El Paso, Texas. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mesilla Valley Hospice, Loraine Padilla at 575–523- 4700.
