

MAGDALENA C. LERMA, 68, beloved wife, madrecita, “grandbam,” and sister passed away Friday, July 10, 2015. Left to honor her memory are her loving husband of nearly 50 years, our dad, Roberto M. Lerma, her children: M. Lorena Lerma (Rosi Carrasco), Griselda Y. Lerma, Rodolfo R. Lerma, P. Veronica Lerma, David A. Lerma (Jaclynn Lerma); her grandchildren: Eduardo, Eric, Esteban (Ursula), Evan, Emanuel, Dyanna, Cristian, Celeste, Isabella, Mateo, Lorenzo, Anahi, Magdalena, and her great-grandchildren: Ethan and Eian. Mom is also survived by her unfailing sisters, brother, and brother-in-law: Herminia Lopez, Jesus and Margarita Bravo, and Fernando Contreras; and many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Mom exemplified and worked to instill in her children, “Only to do the right and to love goodness and walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8) As a devoted Catholic, our reina always gave selflessly to those in need. She was an active member of the community and volunteered thousand of hours for the betterment of the Thomas Manor and Riverside High School area. Our promise to our beloved mom is to continue to follow her example to know, love and serve God. Our heartfelt gratitude to Drs. Alfredo Chavez and Mark Landeros and Grace Galvin, RN. Visitation will be Monday, July 13, 2015 from 5p.m to 9 p.m with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m at Hillcrest Funeral Home at 1060 Carolina. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier (510 S. Latta Street) with internment following at Evergreen Cemetery East, 12400 Montana, El Paso, Texas.
