Manuel C. Duran, 83 of El Paso, Texas passed away on January 24, 2022. He was born on October 11, 1938, to Emilio and Manuela Duran. He was preceded in death by his parents, 8 brothers and 4 sisters. Manuel is survived by his sisters Pilar Vasquez, Teresa Duran and Juana Calderon, and many nieces and nephews who cherish his memory.
Manuel was a lifelong resident of El Paso and an Army veteran. He was a devout Catholic and dedicated much of his life serving San Antonio de Padua Church. Manuel retired from R&J Typesetters after a long successful career. He was a past President of the Five Points Business Development Association.
The visitation will be held on Thursday February 10, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina. The Funeral Mass will take place on Friday February 11, 2022, at 1:00pm at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church 503 Hunter Dr., followed by the interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza.
