Mr. Manuel Ovalle Sr.

Manuel Ovalle, Sr., 82, passed away on December 27, 2014. He was born on September 21, 1932 in El Paso, Texas. Manuel was a 1951 Bowie High School graduate who went on to become a Marine and veteran of the Korean War. He later became a Seabee reservist and retired from the military with participation in the 19thRiffle unit. Manuel worked and retired from Phelps Dodge, the City and El Paso Water Utilities. He is preceded in death by his son, Alex, his mother, his father, a brother, and a sister. Manuel is survived by his wife, Ester R. Ovalle, his son, Manuel Ovalle, Jr., (Diane), his daughter, Elizabeth Veck (Mike), his grandsons, Manuel Ovalle III and Vicente Veck, four brothers, three sisters, and many nephews and nieces. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2014 at Harding Orr McDaniel Funeral Home, 320 Montana Avenue at 5 p.m. with the Rosary starting at 7 p.m. Mass will be held on Wednesday January 7, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, 1118 North Mesa Street at 9:30 a.m. with interment service to be held at Fort Bliss.www.FunerariaDelAngelHarding.com
