Maria Teresa Campos passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the age of 83. She was a life-long resident of El Paso, TX. She graduated high school from Loretto Academy, attended Webster College in St. Louis and graduated from Texas Western College with a degree in Education. She was an elementary school teacher for forty-three years with the El Paso Independent School District and loved to teach children how to read. She was a long time parishioner of St. Patrick Cathedral and a member of the church’s Alter Society, the Christ Child Society and the Pan American Round Table of El Paso. Tere, as she was known, enjoyed playing Canasta with her friends and traveling the world with her family. She was very proud of her five children and adored her eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerardo Jose, son Gerard David, brother Raymundo Alba Jr. and sister Cecelia Ellis. She is survived by her daughters: Veronica Rudder (John), Victoria Schlotzhauer (Chris), Rosario Vickers (Greg) and Stephanie Meryman (David): brother Esteban Alba Jr. and sister Rosario Torres; grandchildren: John Patrick and Alexandra Rudder, Stephan and Andrew Schlotzhauer, Mark and Ethan Vickers, Nathan and Jacob Meryman.
