Martha always had a smile for everyone. She was one fine lady.

When I first started working at UTEP, it did not take me long to start enjoying Martha's company.  I would go sit in the office and have what I called my "Martha moment".  Martha would tell me about her previous jobs.  My favorite stories are about her education - when she told me about learning to type on a typewriter and do shorthand.  She would tell me about her nephews that would visit her, and bother her, but how much she loved them.
Martha - this moment is yours.  

Since my arrival in El Paso Martha welcomed and guided me. Throughout my years as department chair she helped and advised wisely and generously.  After her retirement, our monthly  phone chats kept the connection. She was calling me “my boss and my friend” and I always replied that in reality she was the boss, and I was the friend. She will be terribly missed. 

I was sorry to hear of Martha's passing. 

 She was  absolutely amazing!  I worked with her at UTEP for many years, and she was always the consummate professional in her administrative assistant role.  I have not worked with anyone who is her equal.   

What I will always remember best, though, is her wicked sense of humor, on-target assessments of people, and devotion to her family.   

Blessed be, Martha.   

I worked with Martha for many years. We shared so many memories during those years. We laughed and gossiped with each other almost every single day. I will always remember her for her smile and her sense of humor and her professionalism. Rest In Peace Martha and I know that the  angels of heaven opened  their arms for you. 

My aunt and i had so much love between us we had lots of fun memories together we use to go shopping together and always use to go to the mall and get Starbucks it’s really hard to see her go so soon but I know she’s in a better place and she will always be remembered In my heart love you auntie

Truly a wonderful, brave woman who always had a smile on her face for those coming through her door; and who couldn’t do enough for those around her even during times of challenging hardship. She will be missed more than we can express, but her struggles are over. Our love and condolences are sent to all those who are hurting as she departs.
