El Paso lost a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, as Maria De La Luz Parga passed away at home, on March 12, 2021. Maria, affectionately known as Lucy was born in El Paso and spent over 30 years in Civil Service. Remembered for her warm smile and wonderful laugh, Lucy touched the lives of so many through her kindness and generosity, during her time at Ft. Bliss.
A devoted daughter, Lucy’s greatest happiness came from time spent with family.
Lucy is survived by sisters Lilia and Julia Parga, Romelia Teresa Villescas, sister-in-law Margarita S. Parga, nephews Charlie, Eduardo, Daniel and Isaac Villescas, Robert and Marcos Parga, niece Veronica Parga-Lopez, great nieces Ellycia Villescas-Ducharm, Emily Villescas, Abby Villescas and great nephews Gavin Lopez, Alexander, Jaxon, Andrew, Ethan, Maximilian and Kole Drake Villescas and great niece Danitsa O. Parga.
Rest in Peace Lucy-You will be missed.
Visitation will be held on March 25, 2021 at 9:00 am, at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, followed by mass at Santo Nino De Atocha Catholic, Church 210 S Clark Drive.
