Mark Geneson lived a life filled with generosity, curiosity, and a lifelong spirit that made it hard for those who met him to ignore him.
Born in Burbank California, Mark spent his early years in El Paso. Mark took advantage of his education. First, his classes at Coronado High School and later at UTEP where he studied movies under the tutelage of professors who challenged their students.
Mark turned his ability in classes into a lifelong collection of movies, books, and music. He would later utilize his ability to write scripts into a short movie he worked on with his colleagues.
Most of Mark's life after schooling had to be his loyalty and ability to make friends and keep them. For example, when he would stand up and shout at a Raiders football game, it was as if the inside of that local Pub was about to bring down the house. It seemed like pure Theatre!
Part Two: Maria Geneson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our son Mark Geneson. He is survived by his loving parents, Paul and Maria Jasso Geneson, his brother Paul of Lafayette Colorado, and Uncle David of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Special thanks to Eddie Vaughn of Coronado Prime Meats where Mark was employed. Following the footsteps of his boss, Mark developed a regular clientele that asked for Mark Geneson on a regular basis.
Mark also worked at Starbucks where he developed a host of dedicated friends.
Visitation will be on October 17, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest West located at 5054 Doniphan Dr., El Paso Texas, 79932 915-587-0202.
