Oscar "Rhino" Gabriel Arellano, age 70, of El Paso, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. Rhino was born in El Paso, Texas.
Rhino graduated from Bowie High School in 1972 where he was part of the Football Hall of Fame. His love of sports extended later in life where he also coached the Rangers Youth Football, Basketball and Baseball Teams.
Rhino is preceded in death by his mother Luz Arellano.
Rhino is survived by his wife of 47 years, Guadalupe Campa Arellano; his son Oscar Gabriel Arellano Jr.; his son Esteban Arellano; his grandson Derek Christopher Arellano, his father Gabriel Arellano, He is also survived by his siblings, Roberto Arellano (Licha), Juan Arellano (Letty), Alejandrina Delgado (Raul), Lucy Rivas (Alfonso), Carmen Saldaña (Carlos), Dora Hernandez (Raul), Martha Arellano, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Edmundo Campa Jr., Raymond Campa, Tury Campos, Gabriel Rivas, Robert Arellano, and Joseph Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Chavez Jr., Alfonso Rivas, Bonnie Campa, Diana Campa, Lisa Nava, Ricky Campa Jr., Ricardo Antonio Campa, Drina Hernandez, Gaby Arellano, Danielle Campa, Angelique Gee.
