Raul Munoz. Jr. (Moose) 62 years old. Beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away peacefully January 12, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. Raul was born in Los Angeles, California, and graduated from Riverside High School in El Paso, Texas in 1978.
In his younger years, he was an avid softball player. He played with numerous leagues throughout the city including The Gold Sox and The Padres. He was well known in these leagues as a “power hitter”- constantly hitting the ball out of the park. Raul was always lending a helping hand and showing kindness to anyone that he came across. Known for his wit, sense of humor, and dedication to the Raider Nation (Las Vegas Raiders football team), he will be greatly missed.
Raul is preceded in death by his parents, Raul Munoz Sr. and Guadalupe Munoz. He is survived by his children Erika Rose Munoz, Alyssa Renee Munoz, and the light of his life and only grandchild Aiden Scott White. His siblings Guadalupe Delgado (Claudio), Carmen Ricci (Frank), Yolanda Saenz (David), Joe Munoz, Carlos Ramos (Sandra), and the passionately devoted mother of his children Julie Munoz. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and lifelong friends.
The love and strength he shared with us and his family will be forever engrained in our hearts as well as our spirits. Thank you Dad for the many laughs and memories we shared throughout the years. You are deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. The family will receive friends and family for a Memorial Service on Friday February 18, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home West, 5054 Doniphan Dr.
